In this video, our client Margaret tells the story about her husband John and how their lives changed drastically when the hospital he was being treated at failed to conduct the appropriate medical investigations.
John suffered a stroke and after being treated in hospital was sent home in the care of his family. A few months later John fell down the stairs and hit his head and was taken to hospital. After insufficient investigation John was sent home under the care of his GP.
John then attended a scheduled MRI scan appointment, which showed a haematoma on the brain, John was taken to surgery but he made a poor recovery. He suffered significant brain steym dysfunction and is now dependent on 24 hour care. Henry Dyson, clinical negligence lawyer at Leigh Day was able to secure compensation to enable Margaret to look after him at their home.
